Whether new to the parish or church, we understand that walking into a church can be daunting. You may not know anybody and may well be unfamiliar with the service, what it signifies and what your part in it is.
Being aware of this at St Aldhelms we are proud of our “no pressure” environment where you can take things at your own pace.
You will meet a wide range of people from the youngest toddler through to people in their nineties and beyond and from every conceivable background.
If you have children then please feel free to bring them with you, they are welcome at every service.
As well as the services, throughout the year there are lots of activities that are organised by the congregation, ranging from the mentally and physically challenging to just having fun with like-minded people.
St.Aldhelm’s Church is a friendly and welcoming place, which offers companionship to all, bringing people together to worship God and Jesus in a lively and interesting way.
Take the time to visit regularly and it will add a new dimension to your life.
Christians Believe….
In God the Father who made the world and who loves and cares for us.
In God the Son, Jesus Christ. He lived on earth and died on the Cross, rising from the dead on the third day. Day by day he brings us forgiveness and the gift of eternal life.
In God the Holy Spirit who inspires all Christians and helps them to do God’s will in the world.
The Church is….
The family of Christians meeting together to worship God and to find fellowship together in prayer and learning.
Our work is to spread the Good News of our faith and to encourage others to discover God’s love and His purpose for their lives.
